Marriage made easy is the answer

The claim being examined

Anyone can prohibit. The question is what a young person with normal desires is supposed to do instead.

The Islamic position

Islam pairs every prohibition with a lawful route to the same need, and makes providing that route a communal obligation.

Analysis

This is the constructive centre of the whole module and should be used more than the prohibition cards. The structure of Islamic ethics is that the haram is closed and a halal route to the same human need is opened: appetite is met in marriage, the desire for wealth in trade, the need for security in zakat and inheritance. Sahih al-Bukhari 5065 gives both halves in one sentence. Q 24:32 makes it a communal instruction — marry off the single among you — and answers the objection of poverty in the same verse. In practice this means the things a mosque or a family can actually do: keeping dowries and weddings modest on the Prophetic pattern (Sahih al-Bukhari 5121), making introductions, not delaying marriage for years of study or savings, and refusing the tribal and class filtering that blocks suitable matches. Muslim communities are frequently the obstacle here rather than the solution, and this card should say so. It is also worth naming what Islam does not require: it does not require a young person to marry before they are ready, and it does not permit forcing anyone into a marriage — consent is a condition of validity, as the case of Khansa bint Khidham established (Sahih al-Bukhari 5138).
