The claim being examined
The Prophet described a sign of the end of an age: the poorest herdsmen of Arabia competing in building high towers.
The Islamic position
Muslims point to this because it is specific, unlikely, and was explained by scholars centuries before it could have happened.
Analysis
The report is part of the hadith of Jibril, transmitted in both Bukhari and Muslim. The evidential weight does not rest on the modern skyline alone — a sceptic will reasonably call that a post-hoc reading. It rests on the fact that an-Nawawi (d. 676 AH) and Ibn Hajar (d. 852 AH) already glossed the phrase as the Bedouin becoming wealthy rulers, centuries before the Gulf oil economy. Cite the commentary, not the photographs.
