A man attested by God, or a pre-existent Lord?
Handle with care. Scholars debate whether Philippians 2 teaches pre-existence at all. Acknowledge that if they raise it — it strengthens your point rather than weakening it.

The claim being examined
In Acts 2, Peter preaches Jesus (PBUH) as a man approved by God. In Philippians 2, Paul describes someone who existed in the form of God before becoming human.
The Islamic position
Islam affirms exactly the Acts 2 description: Jesus (PBUH) was a servant of God, honoured with signs and miracles by God''s permission, and nothing more than that.
Analysis
Look closely at the Greek in Acts 2:22. The miracles are "from God" and they are done "through him" — God is the one acting, Jesus (PBUH) is the one God works through. That is a servant of God, not God. Philippians 2:6-11 speaks of one who was "in the form of God". Most scholars think Paul is quoting a hymn that already existed before him. Tabor argues these come from two different worlds: the Jerusalem preaching of a human messiah honoured by God, and a Greek hymn about a divine figure coming down. Ehrman traces the same movement in How Jesus (PBUH) Became God — the earliest layers show Jesus (PBUH) raised up and honoured by God, and the idea of God becoming man develops later, ending with John's Gospel. Ali Ataie notes that Acts 2:22 is the closest thing in the whole New Testament to how the Qur'an describes Jesus (PBUH). If they say scholars dispute whether Philippians 2 teaches pre-existence at all — agree. That helps your point, it does not hurt it.
