Signs & Miracles · Told Before It Happened
The strongest predictions, in one page
Handle with care. Do not quote any of these without its grading. The full cards carry it; a summary line does not.
In short
- 1.Rome would lose and then win again within a few years — stated in the Qur'an before it happened (Q 30:2-4).
- 2.Barefoot, destitute herdsmen would compete in building tall towers — an odd thing to say about seventh-century Arabia.
- 3.A time would come when no one escapes dealing in interest, even by its dust.
- 4.The land of the Arabs would return to meadows and rivers.
- 5.Public immorality would spread openly and be spoken about without shame.
- 6.Each of these is set out in full, with collection, number, grading and the fair-use rules, in the Proofs of Prophecy section.
The claim being examined
This section shows the signs he was given. The predictions he made are a separate body of evidence, treated in full elsewhere in this app.
The Islamic position
Here are the ones worth memorising, in a line each, with the full treatment under Proofs of Prophecy.
Analysis
The fulfilled-prediction material is treated as its own body of evidence in the Proofs of Prophecy section of this app, where each report is presented with its collection, number and grading, alongside the five tests for judging any prophecy claim and a set of comparison cases (Nostradamus, the Watchtower dates, Joseph Smith) so that the standard applied is the same one Muslims would apply to others. This card exists only as a pointer, so that the Signs and Miracles section does not repeat the same material at lower quality.
From the Qur'an
غُلِبَتِ الرُّومُ فِي أَدْنَى الْأَرْضِ وَهُم مِّن بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُونَ فِي بِضْعِ سِنِينَ
The Romans have been defeated in the nearest land, and they, after their defeat, will overcome, within a few years.
