After the shahadah — the goal is Jannah, not the moment
Handle with care. Do not overwhelm a new Muslim with rulings in week one. Prayer, friendship and kindness first.
In short
- 1.**The fisherman.** A full bucket every day is worthless if the fish jump out before he gets home.
- 2.**Teach prayer immediately,** ideally at the local mosque, and establish the five daily salah.
- 3.**Swap contact details.** Take them out, introduce them to others, let them feel the brotherhood.
- 4.**Warn them** about online misinformation and possible rejection from family — and make sincere du'a for them.
The claim being examined
A shahadah with no follow-up produces a statistic, not a Muslim.
The Islamic position
Belief without submission is not enough — Shaytan believes and is not saved. The da'ee's responsibility is to help the new Muslim become a practising one.
Analysis
The manual's sharpest line is theological: Shaytan believes in Allah, believes in the Book, and knows the Messenger is truthful — and is not saved. Belief and submission are distinct, and the distinction reframes the whole activity of dawah away from counting conversions and towards nurturing practice. The five practical steps are all relational rather than instructional, which reflects how converts actually stay.

O you who have believed, enter into submission completely.
