Who Carried the Cross? (Mark 15 vs. John 19)

Analysis
John altered the Synoptic account because his high christology could not allow a triumphant, divine Jesus to show physical weakness or require assistance. The change is theological editing, visible across the Gospel's passion chronology (including its Passover dating).
